Design and Decor Tips

Decorating for the Holidays Like a Pro

With all the year-end parties coming up, you need a solid game plan to beautify your home and impress your guests. I am no Martha Stewart, but I do have some great suggestions for you. 🙂

1. Funky carpets

Carpets really make a difference to the look and feel of your living room. So whip out your fanciest one! Go for something colourful and unique, like this one with aztec print.

2. Unique floral centrepiece

Adding flowers is always a good idea when it comes to decorating your home. Pick unconventional flowers like hydrangeas or banksias, or if you are up for it… make your own crepe paper peonies!

3. Scented candles

Place scented candles all over your home to keep it smelling nice. This particular DIY candle looks special because of the dried flowers in it!

4. Table runner

If you are planning a dinner party, the dining table is where you will spend most of your time interacting with your guests. A table runner is a quick way to up the ‘atas’ factor and impress your guests.

5. Pretty crockery

If you are a frequent host of dinner parties, investing in pretty crockery is another must! With budget stores selling an array of fancy table ware, you do not need to spend loads for a glam table setting.
