Growing up, I loved eating my grandmother’s pizza bread for lunch after school. Recently, I had the urge to recreate the dish after reminiscing about my childhood days with my family. So, I decided to make this delish dish for breakfast the next day. 🙂
This fuss-free recipe was so easy to replicate, and satisfying at the same time! No wonder my grandmother loved making them when I was a child. Pizza breads are great for any meal, and yes, even those late-night guilty suppers.
2 bread slices
4 tbsp of pasta sauce
6 button mushrooms, sliced
4 cherry tomatoes, sliced
2 sausages, sliced
1 tsp dried oregano
Basil leaves, chopped
First, preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
Next, spread the pasta sauce on top of each slice of bread then sprinkle over some dried oregano.
Add the rest of the toppings to each slice of bread, according to your fancy! Top it off with a generous amount of cheese.
Lastly, bake the bread slices for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese melts. To serve, simply top it off with some freshly chopped basil. And viola – an easy snack that looks and tastes good!
This is just a simple version of the recipe. Try experimenting with other ingredients that you have in your kitchen, and modify the recipe according to your taste preferences. This surely is an unassuming recipe that would put a smile on your face. You need to try it to believe it. 🙂
