The February BTO sales launch is now on! Buyers can select from 4,170 new flats across 3 projects in Bukit Batok, Sengkang and Bidadari. In total 18,000 BTO flats are expected to be launched in 2016, but here are more details on this month’s launch.
Home buyers who missed the first launch of Bidadari BTO flats can apply for this second project situated at the junction of Bidadari Park Drive and Alkaff Crescent.
Bidadari estate is a tranquil urban oasis, with plenty of green and lush spaces for residents to enjoy. The Alkaff Oasis blocks are also equipped with the district-level Pneumatic Waste Conveyance System and other sustainability initiatives.
With the housing grants, flats ranging from 2-room Flexi to 3Gen flats can be purchased from as low as $66,000 and $543,000 respectively.
This development bounded by Sengkang East Way and Anchorvale Lane offers a childcare centre and elderly facilities. Future residents of this project can also head to the nearby Punggol Reservoir for recreation, and the facilities within the town for all their needs.
With the housing grants, flats ranging from 2-room Flexi to 5-room can be purchased from as low as $3,000 and $314,000 respectively.
West Plains@Bukit Batok
If you are looking for flats in the west, you may consider West Plains@Bukit Batok. Located in Bukit Batok West, this development has roof gardens and an area for community gardening as well. The residents have a wide range of facilities and transport options too.
Flats ranging from 2-room Flexi to 5-room can be purchased from as low as $4,000 and $357,000 respectively, after housing grants.

Optional Component Scheme (OCS)
All buyers of the 2-room Flexi flats will have the option of flooring and sanitary fittings under OCS. Also, elderly buyers of 2-room Flexi flats on short leases can choose an additional package if they wish to have a flat in a move-in condition.
Buyers of 3-room and bigger flats can opt for a partition wall between the living/ dining area and the kitchen if they intend to have an open-kitchen concept. There are also flooring and internal doors and sanitary fittings under the OCS.

Some useful tips for flat buyers:

✓ Consider applying for a BTO flat in non-mature towns to enjoy a higher chance of success in securing a flat.
✓ You can apply for only 1 flat type/ category in 1 town under the BTO exercise.
✓ Regular updates on the number of applications for the various flat types/ towns will be published on the HDB InfoWEB, so do check for updates before submitting your application.
✓ Applicants are shortlisted using a computer ballot; they are not processed on a first come first served basis. So there is no need to rush to submit your application.
✓ If you wish to take up an HDB housing loan for your flat purchase, you would need to produce a valid HDB Loan Eligibility (HLE) Letter when you book a flat. Do check your loan eligibility and apply for an HLE letter at www.hdb.gov.sg/hleapply.
Eligible first-timer families can receive up to $80,000 of housing grants, comprising the Additional CPF Housing Grant (AHG) (up to $40,000) and the SHG (up to $40,000). For
2-room Flexi flats, the prices are determined after taking into account factors like the lease tenure and whether buyers are first-timers, second-timers, or others.
