Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownies

How do you score brownie points with your significant other on Valentine’s Day? Literally bake him/ her some brownies! 🙂 Read on if you want to find out how to create this special V-day treat.

There are 2 parts to the recipe – first, you have to make the brownie base, then the cheesecake swirl! Here is how it goes:

Ingredients for the brownie base:

 

Steps for making the brownie base:

  1. First beat the 2 eggs.

  2. After that melt the butter.

  3. Then add the ingredients in this order: sugar, vanilla extract, salt, cocoa powder, food colouring and vinegar (or you could just follow the dotted lines in the image above). 🙂

  4. Lastly, fold in the flour.

    Ingredients for the cheesecake swirl:

     

Steps for making the cheesecake swirl:

  1. Beat the cream cheese on medium speed.

  2. Add the rest of the ingredients in the order that is pictured above!

  3. Beat until smooth.

     

So now that you have got the 2 parts ready, this is how you layer them! Pour some brownie mixture into your baking pan first, then add several scoops of your cream(ed) cheese mixture on top of it. Then add another layer of your brownie batter. Drag a toothpick through the top layer, to create the swirl patterns. Finally, bake it at approximately 176 degrees Celsius for half an hour.
Plate it nicely and you are good to enjoy this pretty desert with your better half this Valentine’s Day!
